Jessica Alba’s Honest Company – Perfect Baby Shower Gift Idea!

We all struggle to find the perfect baby shower and new mom gifts. Although we want the “wow” factor, we also want our gift to be meaningful and useful. Well this past week, Elizabeth and I attended the NYC launch party for Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company hosted by MomTrends at ABC Kitchen, and found the perfect gift idea, HONEST!

A special gift… As part or all of your shower gift introduce a mom-to-be to The Honest Company.  You can give her all the information she needs to sign up and get her started by financing her first month.   I reached out to the Honest Company to see if they will be offering gift cards and Jenelle on the facebook fan page responded immediately with: “We are working on adding this feature to our site, so hopefully you’ll be able to soon!”  Great – can’t wait!

To try out the products, everyone is offered a free trial with a minimal shipping fee. Then moms can choose one or both product options:

  • The Diaper Bundle, customized to your preferences for $79.95 a month.
  • The Family Essentials Bundle is $35.95 and also customized for your need.  Shampoo & Body Wash, Face & Body Lotion, Healing Balm, Laundry Detergent and Hand Soap are included. After the first month, subscribers can personalize and choose from nine other Honest products in the suite.
The story… The Honest Company (Honest.com) was started by a dad named Christopher and a mom named Jessica, who found themselves utterly frustrated trying to find the perfect products for their babies and homes.  Both wanted ideal: not only effective, but unquestionably safe, eco-friendly, beautiful, convenient, and affordable products. Furthermore, they believed everyone should have them and that every baby deserved the best that can be created for them.

“When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been,” she says. “It’s the most satisfying job in the world. But, it can also be overwhelming and confusing. I created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start.”Jessica Alba

So they set out to create it, and in my opinion they did, with The Honest Company.  The Honest Company ensures that parents have access to non-toxic, ecofriendly, beautiful family products that don’t break the bank. They offer a monthly subscription service of customized product bundles delivered directly to your front door and are launching with a product line that moms/dads/parents across country choose based on what they use everyday: diapers, wipes, baby bath and skin care, and home cleaning products

“We tried to think of all the qualities we would want in a dream brand – savvy style, sustainability, and extraordinary service & convenience all wrapped in a passion for social goodness, tied with a bow of integrity and sprinkled with a little cheeky fun.”

“Everything I stand for and all I’ve done over last 15 years has come to this moment,” he says of The Honest Company. “I’m thrilled to launch a brand that offers some of the most thoughtfully designed, innovative, and safest products available.” – Christopher Gavigan

Thanks to the beautiful Nicole Feliciano and Mom Trends for hosting us, we loved learning about these unique and important products for babies! Disclosure:  We were not paid for this post, but did receive a gift bag with products samples.

The cost of diapers always concerns me. How do I understand if I am going to get cheap diapers or a premium high quality diaper? I just want the best for my kids, however I don’t want to break the bank.
