Little Boy’s Helicopter Birthday Party Theme!

Today we want to share a very special party planned and produced by the talented Tali of A Party Studio.   We love this party theme and all of its special touches.  What little boy {or girl} wouldn’t love it – Cheers to A Party Studio!  You can connect with Tali founder of A Party Studio on facebook here>  and be sure to visit her Etsy Shop here>

Tali’s son, Asher, is crazy about helicopters so the theme for his 2nd birthday party was very easy to decide.  Decorations were a very simple blue and red color scheme. Large white tissue pompoms hanging from a chandelier gave the effect of clouds and blue paper fans and a wooden plane spray painted light blue acted as the backdrop. A  Tali planes to use some of this after the party in her son’s bedroom.

For the dessert table, sugar cookies from “C is for Cookie” were ordered to match the printables. Vanilla bean cake pops for the table were made by one of Tali’s friends.  She of course made them in blue and added red sprinkles. The chocolate cake and the vanilla cupcakes were from a local bakery, and Hershey Kisses personalized with stickers that said “A Kiss From Asher” were a special party treat!

Since his Tali’s son’s party was in the morning, she served breakfast food, including powdered doughnuts which she dubbed “Doughnut Clouds”…. The kids thought it was fantastic. For the adults, she served a green chili sausage casserole and fresh fruit with dipping sauce.

The majority of the children at the party were aged between two and four years old, so Tali decided to forgo traditional party games. Instead, she had a plethora of toys available for them to play with and she set up a glitter tattoo station. The station was a huge hit with the parents as well as the kids!

The party favors, were “Marshmallow Clouds”. These were basically glassine envelopes that Talia filled with large white marshmallows. She added a large label and tied a “thank you for flying with me” hang tag using blue and white twine.  She displayed them up at the drink station inside a red cardboard suitcase with a tag that read “Baggage Claim”.
