Our Snapfish Home Party

Share and capture the LOVE at your party!

Parties are our business and one of our favorite tips is to “always remember that the most beautiful thing at your party are the people”.   That’s why it’s so important to capture your “party people”and the memories of sharing time together.  Recently, I hosted a party at my home for some important women in my life (and Snapfish.com) .  It was a birthday celebration and to make the day special, I set up a photo booth to snap lots of pictures.  We had a blast posing for pictures with fun props and each other.  Snapfish was kind enough to send a great party package, that included travel-themed decorations, the lips, moustaches and snappy on stick you see in the photos, as well as gift cards and gift bags for all the guests.

After the party the Birthday girl  was heading off for a fantastic trip, so we thought a travel-themed birthday get-away lunch would be a wonderful send-off and celebration.   As part of her birthday gift, I’m going to create an album for her with pictures from the party.  I just love capturing our special day in a photo book and then gifting it to her so she can relive the party again and again.  The bonus was that taking pictures for it created so much fun!  I really can’t think of a more simple and special idea for any milestone celebration.  In fact, my sister who was in attendance is going to create a photo booth at her daughter’s upcoming 12th birthday party.  She is so excited to have a fun activity for the kids and then a great keepsake for my niece.  Another great way to share the party memories is through the Snapfish site.  I’m going to upload all the pictures and share them with everyone so that they can print out a photo book of their own or maybe a mug, or poster if they like!

I loved sharing the photo book I created of my trip to BlogHer ’11 and the party Elizabeth and I hosted. My girlfriends weren’t there, but after viewing it, they felt like they were, and we had lots of laughs looking through it.  We enjoyed a few cocktails and the homemade donuts with caramel dipping sauce were a hit!

I served up BLTA (BLT w/ avacado) and Turkey with brie and avacado sandwiches, as well as homemade donuts with caramel dipping sauce and chocolate cherry mini-cakes.  We all toasted the Birthday girl with Elizabeth’s Merry Mocktail (recipe>)!

The day was truly an escape and the perfect “get-away” birthday lunch.  Look at how beautiful women are at every age:  grandmothers, teenagers, college friends, sisters and mothers and daughters.  Capturing this love and these bonds of sisterhood was priceless.

My friend, Patti, struck an awesome pose – I can’t wait to print it out for her fiance’!

The youngest at our celebration was Elizabeth’s daughter, Ally, a contributing photographer for Party Bluprints ( you’ll see her beautiful work on various posts on the blog, and in our book, ‘Plan To Party’)  snapped most of the images in this post. She’s a fan of Snapfish.com and is planning on using it to create photo books for personal use and for her Gold Award for Girl Scouts.  We are so proud of her!

Taking the pictures ignited our spirit of fun and looking at them later reminded me how important each of these women are in my life.   Thanks Snappy!
