A Special Summer Dinner Party Menu

by Dawn on June 30, 2009

It has been a cool, rainy spring here in New Jersey, but finally (for me) this weekend summer arrived! I got to do a little surfing in the water and on the net and found a summer party menu that really got me excited. I was not able to try this one out before posting, but given the source, Williams-Sonoma, I feel confident passing it on. I will be trying it this weekend and can’t wait to prepare and taste a meal with cool summery flavors like lime, mint and cilantro paired with mango, avocado, scallops and beef.

Getting hungry?  Here is this special summer menu with links to each recipe. If you make it before me, leave a comment and let me know how you enjoyed it.

The Menu

  • Blended Mojitos
  • Shrimp Ceviche in Cucumber Cups
  • Scallop, Mango and Avocado Salad
  • Seared Beef Tenderloin with Cilantro and Mint
  • Brown Sugar Peaches with Ice Cream

The Scallop, Mango & Avocado Salad looks dreamy, perfect for a summer table. Actually, everything loks dreamy! TUWABVH sent us this way, and we are glad she did!

Made my way via your post on Twitter. The beef tenderloin recipe you posted sounds wonderful. One I believe I’ll try. Probably change just a few of the spices to ones I like better; but what a great idea for cool summer entertainment.

It’s cool and damp here in Central Ohio now, though a few days ago it was super hot…thats the saying here in Ohio. If you don’t like the weather, stick around for 10 minutes…it will change.

Have a super day, drop in for a visit, the welcome mats always out
