Our resident teen expert Maddie Leigh is at it again. Today she is sharing three super looks for transitioning into spring. By adding brighter and lighter pieces for the warmer weather to some of her winter clothes, Maddie shows us how easy and inexpensive it can be to dress for the season! We love Maddie’s sense of style and the fact that these looks are age appropriate and pretty for girls thirteen – seventeen.
WHAT TO BUY NOW: 1. Pretty Floral Dress 2. Lace Tee 3. Bright Colored Vans or Sperry’s
HOW TO WEAR THEM: Layer them under or over pieces you currently own to save money!
Outfit #1 – This floral dress, is so colorful and perfect for the warmer weather. It’s one of my favorites and it’s from PacSun. The light sweater, which I use as a layer, is from DKNY. It’s perfect for spring’s temperature swings. I purchased both at Bloomingdales. My coral shoes, which match my bright dress, are Vans. I love how they add fun to this look. The bracelets I paired with my outfit are Alex and Ani and my earrings are pearls
Outfit #2 – If you are looking for a more casual route, this is the perfect look. The cream crop top I’m wearing is from Free People. Under this cream shirt is a white lace tank top from Roxy. Pairing these two shirts together creates the sweet style that is still casual. My jeans are from Hollister and the shoes that I’m wearing are Sperry’s ( so comfy!) My necklace is a Holy Cross, given to me by my grandfather, and I have on my go-to pearl earrings.
Outfit #3 – The dress, which is similar to Look #1 is from American Rag. To make the dress look a bit more unique, I put a long sleeve t-shirt from Free People over it. So simple and it gives me another way to wear my spring dresses. My high socks are from Urban Outfitters, and my combat boots are from Steve Madden. For jewelry, I kept it simple with my favorite pearl earrings!
