LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Get the party started! All of our favorite TV stars will be on the red carpet Sunday night for the 2011 Emmy® Awards. It’s the perfect excuse to invite friends over and eat, drink – and dish about the stars.

“Mad Men,” “30 Rock” and “Glee” are just a few of the big shows vying for the gold. Besides the awards show, the other must-see is the pre-show red carpet fashion showdown. Trust me – it’s a lot more fun to critique the looks with friends than shouting at the TV “Can you believe she wore that?!” all by yourself.” Never fun!

Party planners Dawn Sandomeno and Elizabeth Mascali of Party Bluprints share with Healthy Hollywood their tips to hosting an awesome, easy, at-home Emmy viewing party.

Party Blueprints Party Essentials:

Set The Scene:

Create a comfortable viewing area in which all the seats allow for a good view of the televised event. Bring in extra chairs, stools, ottomans, beanbag chairs, and oversized pillows for additional seating.

Before guests arrive print out Emmy® Viewing Party ballots and display them with pens.

Have cocktails and appetizers ready to serve guests when they arrive. Welcome guests with a signature cocktail, followed by buffet style “easy to eat” fare.
