We are excited to announce that we are planning a party this August 5th at BlogHer’11 with our old friends at Social Fabric (the Collective Bias Community) and our new Friends at Cheap Sally!
As 3,500 bloggers converge on San Diego for one of the most popular annual blogger conferences, Blogher, on August 5-6th, the buzz will be all about the social scene. Coveted invites will be the talk of the town as bloggers juggle their “party schedule”, looking to connect with both brands and bloggers, experience San Diego, and have some fun.
On the top of Friday night’s dance card is the Cheap Sally Dance Party, a chic invite-only event hosted by Cheap Sally, designed by us (Party Bluprints) and powered by Social Fabric (Collective Bias’ network). The organizers of the Cheap Sally Dance Party, Jeff Church – CEO of Flank Digital which also owns Cheap Sally, Dawn Sandomeno and Elizabeth Mascali – founders of Party Bluprints Inc., and Brent Robinson – VP of Strategy Collective Bias, joined forces with one goal in mind – to make bloggers feel special. Mr. Church states, “we recognize how valuable and powerful bloggers are and wanted to treat them to an unique experience.” Brands such as Sears, AETN’s Lifetime Moms, and Big Fuel likewise recognize just how influential bloggers are and are excited to have the opportunity to connect with them face to face.
The Cheap Sally Dance Party will be in full swing from 5:30 pm -9:00 pm on the rooftop of San Diego’s hottest nightclub, Stingaree, and will treat guests to a posh party: open premium bar; a delectable dinner and array of desserts; and, of course, dancing. Adding to the scrumptious nature of the party will be a guest appearance by Brian Malarkey, Celebrity Chef, Top Chef finalist and chef/owner of restaurants, Searsucker and Burlap. Stingaree owner, James Brennan, states, “This will be a party that people are still talking about year after year.” In addition to the indulgences, the evening has been designed to offer an intimate opportunity for bloggers to connect with brands.
One of the most exciting elements of the evening will be the kick-off of the “$100,000 Bring Home the Bacon with Cheap Sally” Contest. Beginning this September, leading coupon website CheapSally.com will be on the search for America’s best online coupon saver“ We believe that digital couponing is beneficial to a diverse group of online users, not just consumers who are struggling financially,” says Jeff Church. “We’re seeing that to be true in the fact that as economic conditions improve, we’re experiencing continued demand for coupons on Cheap Sally. People have realized they need to be smarter about how they shop and that deals are available if you know where to look for them. With this contest, we are seeking to show how the average consumer can really save tremendously by using digital coupons. Partygoers will be the first to hear the juicy details of this dream job officially announced by Cheap Sally.
Although all the exclusive invites have been sent, there is still a chance to win one at the Cheap Sally Twitter Party to be held the week preceding the Dance Party, date to be announced on www.cheapsally.com/danceparty – connect on twitter at #cheapsallyparty.
