Sandra By Sandra Lee Scores BIG with Beautiful and Budget Friendly Home Products at Sears and Kmart

I have to tip my party hat to Sandra Lee, she has created a collection of home products that are pretty, practical and won’t put you in the poor house.  They are perfect for everyday, weekend entertaining and special holidays.  The collection with over 200 products was launched mid-April 2012 in Sears and Kmart stores nationwide. It includes cookware, utensils, gadgets, bakeware, small kitchen appliances, tabletop items and storage solutions.  Sandra by Sandra Lee will also release a Holiday line later this year.  At a NYC blogger event, Elizabeth and I were fortunate to meet Sandra Lee, hear her speak about her products and the process of creating them, and experience some of them for ourselves. We toured the Sears NJ Newport Center Mall to view the in-store display of the line and then headed back to NYC for a beautiful event featuring: lunch and cocktails (all Sandra’s recipes), a tablescape design breakout session, and product demonstration with Q & A lead by Sandra Lee.
Sandra Lee is a stunning and beautiful person from the inside out.  We all found her warm, genuine and approachable; and I was very impressed with her signature collection.  She spent 18 months working with designers to craft products that she is proud to use and keep in her own kitchen.  The product line was actually brought to market 6 months late, because she insisted on getting every detail right.  Details like adding storage containers that fit right on to her small appliances, like the hand mixer (that is something I really appreciate in my kitchen). How many times have you looked for the attachments for your hand mixer because it wasn’t convenient to store them together?  I also love the slow cooker (designed for cook and carry), a counter top grill, and the cookware that looks pretty enough to leave out on the counter.  Plus the pots and pans have handles that are easy to hold and come in a weight that you can pick up with one hand!  Details and functionality are even present in much simpler products like her graters, which are designed to fit onto storage containers, so the that you can pop them right in the fridge – brilliant!  There’s also an oven mit that wraps around a pot so you don’t burn your wrists or arm.  This happens to me all the time and I have a few scars to prove it.   Sandra Lee is a women who has spent serious hours in the kitchen, no team or entourage does her dirty work, and it shines through in every one of the products in her line.
In addition to the many items for your kitchen, Sandra By Sandra Lee has a full line for the table with dishware, glassware and serving pieces.  The color foundation for the line is white.  Sandra explained it serves as the perfect backdrop for any season or reason you have to set the table and every colors pop on it!  I completely agree, but also love the dishes with red patterns, they are fun, festive and can work for everyday too.  The polka dots were the hands down crowd favorite at the event.

If there was a way to bottle up the talent, knowledge and genuine warmth of Sandra Lee , Sears and Kmart found a way to do it!  I, for one, will welcome a small piece of her into my home and at my family’s table!
