Here’s how to properly pronounce Caipirinha so you can impress your guests!
(Makes 1 cocktail)
- 2 oz. Cachaca
- ½ lime – cut into 8 pieces
- 1 oz. mint infused simple syrup (see recipe below)
- 1 mint spring
- 1 lime wheel
Squeeze lime pieces into glass. Fill glass ¾ with crushed ice. Add Cachaca and mint infused simple syrup. Stir with stirrer and garnish with fresh mint spring and lime wheel.
Mint Infused Simple Syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup fresh mint leaves
Combine all ingredients in non-stick saucepan. Heat on medium and stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Strain through fine mesh sieve, store in airtight container in refrigerator.
