Orange Creamsicle Cocktail

Is it dessert or is it a cocktail?  The beauty of this fantastic frozen drink is – it can be both!  It’s one of the many amazing cocktail recipes from Stephen Phillips, host of Fine Living’s Great Cocktails series.  Sipping on this cocktail brings me back to my childhood, when I would stand in line at the Good Humor truck on a hot summer day at our town pool, waiting to buy my Orange Creamsicle. I love food that can evoke memories and bring me to another place and time. If you loved Orange Creamsicles as a kid or still enjoy them as an adult, you will love this cocktail.  Serve them up for starters or as a creamy delicious finish to a great night.  I suggest adding an orange wedge, like the photo above, it gives off a great orange aroma when you sip.  If you choose to do these for dessert, add a dollop of whipped cream to make them more decadent.

(If you missed it, you can have a make-up day this Sunday.)  Reagan recognized the popularity of ice cream in the United States because 90% of the nation’s population consumes ice cream, and stated that ice cream should be observed with “appropriate ceremonies and activities.”  Please do your part. 2. Not bad at all. I prefer my alcohol to be sickeningly sweet, so this really hit the spot! I topped mine with Lowry Seasoning Salt.
