Wine Sisterhood Gathering 2013 Napa

Post and images by Elizabeth

Dawn and I were honored to be two of the 50 Wine Sisters (there were also 3 Wine Misters) in attendance at the 2013 Wine Sisterhood Gathering in Napa earlier this month. We love Napa, food & wine, a good party and we knew we would love sharing it all with our Wine Sisters!

The 2013 Wine Sisterhood Gathering was such a rich experience on so many different levels. We had the opportunity to be part of a special experience, explore new places, taste different wines and food and to share it with others was a bonding experience. The exciting thing is that we remain connecting post-Napa, through the “Wine Sisterhood”.

You can connect with the Wine Sisterhood too on facebook and twitter and pinterestThe Wine Sisterhood is open to all –  it’s a community of sisters (and some misters) that love and appreciate wine.

We will always remember and cherish our time with all of the people we encountered on this adventure, there are too many people and places to detail here so we are excited to announce a six-week series – “The Story behind the Labels – Wine Sisterhood Gathering 2013“. Picking up where we left off in our book, Plan To Party, in our Wine Country Crush Party Plan, in which we shared the stories behind the wines we featured.

This post is for sharing the spirit of our experience at the Wine Sisterhood Gathering with some fun images and facts!

Wine Sisterhood Facts:

  • 50 Wine Sisters when it started
  • Currently 250,000+ Wine Sisters and Wine Misters
  • Mission: To entertain, educate, inform and inspire
  • Co-founder, Terry Wheatley
  • “It had always been a dream to have a Wine Sisterhood Gathering” Co-founder, Terry Wheatley.
  • Became a reality in 2012.
  • The Wine Sisterhood (a collection of dreamers) lives by this quote by Walt Disney, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” Walt Disney

Although I didn’t realize it before we went, it quickly became evident that the Wine Sisterhood Gathering operates on the same premise as Party Bluprints Inc.  Create a positive environment conducive to connecting: fabulous guests, wine, food, vibe, activities, decor/setting, music/entertainment and allow your guests to relax by stimulating their senses. When guests feel relaxed and special and become open to connecting.  This was our experience at the Wine Sisterhood Gathering.

Women of all ages from across the country attended the Gathering to bond over their love of wine, food and social media! Social Media Mavens, Wine Proprietors, Wine Makers, Wine Marketers and Wine Enthusiasts make up the Wine Sisterhood, plus a few Wine Misters who we especially adore!

Over the course of the Gathering, we had such special experiences at the wineries/vineyards and are so excited to share their stories! Stay Tuned…

  • Chappellete
  • Quintessa
  • Domaine Carneros
  • Palmaz
  • Hess Select
  • Raymond Vineyards

The Wine Sisterhood Gathering Party at Raymond Vineyards was a Speakeasy Soiree – Fun and fabulous!

The Wine Sisterhood Gathering provided a unique opportunity to learn from the Digital Diva herself,  Aliza Sherman and social media video expert, correspondent, and former TV anchor, Danielle Smith.

An experience of a lifetime – CHEERS!

  1. Karen – you need to be a Sister too. I remember how much fun we had with Padma at the Sterling Wines Ultimate Host Finale in NYC!

  2. O.M.G. everything looks absolutely incredible! I followed along ‘virtually’ through your fb page and also the Wine Sisterhood page. I’m excited to read your future posts about the different wineries, and am seriously interested in attending next year’s gathering!!
