Chocolate Nests for Easter
This is a lovely way to give your Easter guests a treat or favor to go home with and it’s as simple as it is special. The recipe below is from Kraft and I love the addition of butterscotch to the chocolate mix. I use a non-stick muffin tin because I don’t have enough custard cups – this may work better for you too. Once they are done, you can fill the nests will almost anything. Jelly beans will be my choice this year. You can use these to decorate each place setting at your table or put them out on a tray for your guests to enjoy with dessert or on the ride home.
BAKER’S Chocolate Nests from the Kraft Recipes site> http://www.kraftrecipes.com
prep time 15 min
total time 1 hr 15 min
makes 12 servings
INGREDIENTS
- 6 squares BAKER’S Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
- 2 cups chow mein noodles
MICROWAVE chocolate and butterscotch chips in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add marshmallows; stir until melted. Add noodles; mix well.
DIVIDE mixture among 12 custard cups, adding about 1/3 cup of the chocolate mixture to each cup. Press firmly onto bottom and up side of each cup to resemble a nest.
REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until set. Remove nests from cups just before serving; fill as desired.
