Macarons are HOT right now and some food experts say they may become the “new cupcake” . When I refer to Macaron, I mean the French version. These are the gently baked, meringue-like confections, not the more dense coconut version (macaroon – 2 O’s ) that I think Americans are more accustomed to seeing and eating. Macarons come in a host of beautiful colors and delicious flavors and are not as calorie-intensive as cupcakes. Below are 2 ways you can serve them up the next time you entertain and make sure to read our trend spotting post back in February with a great way to serve these up for celebrations at home see story>

Macarons are so cute and colorful in the pictures. I am gonna try to make them and add colors to them. I do like macarons a lot.
they have been my newest obsession!
Macarons always remind me of round pies or candies for some reason. No matter what they look like, I love them. And I will definitely try this recipe soon.
