DIY Decorating for Christmas for Small Spaces!

For those of you that are tight on space, think out of the box with your holiday decor and look up!  If the tree is taking up all the space in your apartment or in a small room in your home, use the empty space on the ceiling your to hang decorations.  This is inexpensive DIY decorating at its best and is a great way to involve the kids!  Cut out letters and string up a Holiday Message ( “Merry Christmas”, “Happy Hanukkah”, “Peace, Love and Joy”, or “Celebrate” are perfect), or clip Holiday Cards, snowflakes or any other holiday images you may be crafty enough to cut.

Another idea for a tree in a small area is to use a wall decal. I like the design choices at http://www.wallslicks.com. These decals have a matte finish, so the design will look like it’s been painted on the wall by a pro. You’ll get a bright, festive look without taking up any floor space.
