DIY Pretty Placecards

At your next dinner party, take some extra time to add placecard holders to the table.  It’s a simple touch that signals a special evening to your guests and gives you creative control over seating.  This not only makes the table pretty but can set the stage to encourage conversation and a successful party.

  • Wine Cork: http://onelovephoto.typepad.com/heathergilson/good_things/ These are so simple and I have made these myself for a Wine Tasting parties several times, but you can also purchase them through the link above.  Tip:  If you don’t square off the bottoms of the corks, use some grapes on each plate to prop them up.
  • Drink Stake: http://www.Goodhousekeeping.com.  This idea from Good Housekeeping is perfect for casual entertaining and is a clever way to stake a claim for each guest at your table!
  • Rustic Wood Placecard Holder http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vl_other_1&listing_id=30193395.  I love these placecard holders because they work in any season with a rustic table setting.  You can also add your own special touch by tying on a ribbon for the holidays.  Purchase through the link above.
  • Topiary Placecard Holder ehow.com .  This look is perfect for spring or for Baby or Bridal Showers where you are seating your guests.  Use the link above for more information.
