CBS’ ‘THE TALK’ – Roundtable Luncheon with the Hosts

This week Elizabeth and I had opportunity to participate in a roundtable discussion with the amazing women who will co-host CBS’ new daytime show ‘The Talk’.  The luncheon was hosted by Beth Feldman of and editor and chief of Project You magazine. The show will be dedicated to discussing news, pop culture and mom culture.  It will be moderated by CBS mega-host Julie Chen and will be co-hosted by executive producer/actress Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur and will premier Oct 18th.

The NYC Blogger Roundtable Luncheon

I’m very excited for this new view in daytime talk!  You could feel the positive energy coming from this group of sensational women the second they walked in the room and any air of celebrity immediately melted away as our “mom” conversation heated up with topics like men, bullying and children with special needs.  We chatted and laughed just like any group of mothers at school, on the playground or over coffee.  The six co-hosts all have very different backgrounds and personalities that will result in a variety of perspectives on most subjects. What will make the show a standout is that the women, although clearly quite different, respect and listen to each others’ viewpoints and feel strongly united as mothers.  This perspective, it would appear, will dominate the show and conversation.  In addition, Sara Gilbert is embracing the idea that the internet will play a role – cheers Sara!    Here’s a little of what Julie and Sara had to say…

“The Talk” looks like a fun program. I will definitely watch it.
I hope that they have Elizabeth and Dawn on the program to talk about Partybluprints. They would have a lot to contribute plus talk about their new book “Plan to Party”, which is awsome.

  6. I can not wait until this comes on. I am a huge fan of the view (well, except for Elizabeth) and I am hoping that this show is just as wonderful.
