The Happy Birthday Tree!

Today, December 27th, is my niece’s birthday.  In honor of her special day, I am reposting this from January ’09.  A Christmastime birthday can leave the birthday boy or girl feeling cheated , here is a simple way to make it more special!

Turning a party faux-pas into party fun!

O.K. it’s been a whirlwind since January 1st so I haven’t gotten our Christmas Tree down yet. My son’s birthday is today January 10th and Christmas should have left our house days ago and made way for his birthday decorations. Tonight we are hosting a sleepover for 6 kids and tomorrow will be our family party (24 in all) with lunch and sleigh riding. Definitely in over my head with baking cupcakes, cake and preparing for the festivities, I needed to act fast. So with about 14 balloons and some of great pictures of my son, I re-decorated our tree. It’s now the “Happy Birthday Tree” and he is pleased as punch! We are writing and hanging birthday wishes on the tree for him and having so much fun. It’s going to be a new birthday tradition for my little guy!
